We’ll agree to disagree with this one, but while he was dribbling a ball, he was also an American citizen who could vote. When he left college to go into the NBA, he had to sign contracts. When he went back after his injury, same deal. He still has to breathe same air (global warming), face the same racism, deal with the same privileged group (and in larger doses since he’s exposed to the poorest poor and the richest rich), have the same family, etc. Before and after he leaves the court, the same issues exist. I expect EVERYONE ages 18 and over to have working knowledge of their mayor, governor, alderman, senators, House Reps and the president. EVERYONE. These people control your lifestyle in one way or another.
