This! This! This! This is absolutely why I'm so no-nonsense as a condo association president. There were things I simply was not willing to wait to fix. One of my most recent examples was a mouse trap in someone's unit right in the middle of the living room. That absolutely had to go. Another was someone accidentally knocking off a banister. My suspicion is that it got caught on a bike handle. Either way, anyone who wants to visit or purchase a place does not want to see Mickey greeting them nor the banister greeting your ankles. If your common area looks like shit, expect a shitty landlord and/or property manager and/or condo board. I will be none of the three!
