This takes me right back to my "white parents" post and diversifying your education watching. I know the answer to all of these, except I paused over "Best Man Holiday" because that movie was not very good, if you exclude the New Edition scene. The first one was far better and made me understand why Larenz Tate is so hesitant to do a "Love Jones 2."
On a separate note, I don't know if you've watched "Lovecraft Country." But there is a dark-skinned black woman who has the chance to live in a white woman's body, and her interpretation of how it goes sounds about like how mine would. Well, minus a decision she made once she found out a major secret about someone she was dating. I don't do spoilers. But if you know what I'm talking about, let's discuss. If not, I never bought HBO this year and binge-watched it at my parents' house. I've watched the entire season 2x and loved it.
