This is where you lose me. I do believe yoga pants are comfortable, but my body is way too shapely to feel comfortable like that. If I did, I’d wear a shirt as long as I would at the gym. That “thin layer of spandex” is too often see-through, and there have been entirely too many times that I’ve had to avert eye contact with someone’s thong or commando workout attire. Now I could wear yoga pants at home all day every day — and usually do, unless I know I have dogs to walk later in the day — but I’d rather wear jeans to an office. I lived for Casual Friday. But I’d rather wear spandex where elasticity and comfort are truly needed — in tree pose or pigeon pose from my living room yoga mat (or gym).
