… process to just try, but I don’t see their cynicism as a personal flaw. They’re not “complacent” — they’re left behind and picked up every four years when some people get scared about the consequences an electoral result might bear on their lives.
This is what gets me every single time. Folks who get mad at presidents bring up this ONE part: four years. That tells me they do not understand the House, the Senate, the alderman, the mayor, the judges, etc. All of these people are as significant in their local lives. Too many vote for a president and wait for a superhero, as if majorities do not exist. Midterms matter as much as presidential elections.
