This is just not true. I slide my cell phone in my back pocket all the time, as well as my coat pocket. You’re reaching with this. While I do agree that it can become a bit of a task while sitting down, if you’re standing, you’re fine. I had a co-worker who just lived for those fugly small fanny packs, and she’d put her phone in those. But this “no way to carry a cell phone” comment just sounds like you really want to carry your purse. And as someone who is made fun of for carrying my biggole Simply Vera bags everywhere I go (shamelessly I have at least six of these purses because I like that it has my initials on them), just say you want to carry a purse and be done with it. We’re not struggling to carry cell phones.
