The people who seem out of the loop about it always make me scratch my head. They usually defend studies like Dr. De Silva's standard of beauty all while still not getting WHY women have assimilated to certain beauty standards. Quite frankly, I don't have a whole lot of room to judge for anyone wearing a head full of weave, especially when I just gave myself a fresh perm last week. But when I watch movies like "Black Panther" and Dania Guirara makes a snarky remark about "this thing on my head," I think that's kinda dope too, just the idea that it's more of a nuisance than it is a beauty standard.
