The “10 years is not enough” argument is the only one I’m not quite sold on. But my issue with it is I just honestly don’t see a lot of constructive reasons for imprisonment. Very rarely does someone learn anything. They usually get worse — give or take a few exceptions. If it was 26 years, the time frame in which he lived, that still doesn’t bring a mother’s child back to her. I’m not sure if I have a good answer for how long she should serve time for. How long do you think it should’ve been? What I am satisfied with is that she didn’t just get off with a pat on the back for not even bothering to try to save the life of the man she killed.
