“Perhaps” makes it sound like I didn’t say plain as day that I literally don’t think it’s dismissive. Nope, not “perhaps.” I “definitely” do not think it’s dismissive, which is the reason I typed what I did to Michael’s post. I may not think “whatever you choose is great.” That’s adding on. Anyway, if you agree with Michael, so be it. This isn’t debatable for me. When I, personally, say “whatever,” that’s what I mean. My social circle is well aware that I mean it literally. No one ever misconstrued the meaning of it either — with me. People who know me know that I have a firm opinion about damn near everything so when I say “whatever,” I mean exactly what I said.
