I’m not disagreeing with anything you just said. But that Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog is spending the next four days with me starting tomorrow and I am elated to have to fight her for bed space. I freaking love that dog. That is my homegirl!

As far as dirt and fur, honestly I track in more dirt with my Timbs than she does. I am relentless about wiping dogs’ paws at my door. I don’t even let human beings wear shoes in my home, so those paws cannot track. As for the fur, there are some dogs who leave barely any fur behind. The Brittney Spaniel left barely any fur behind, but the Chihuahua and Shih Tzu left fur everywhere. My trick is to always wrap my couches and my comforter in two crochet blankets. The fur gets caught in them. When the dogs leave, I wash both blankets and never end up with a couch or bed full of fur. A simple sheet could work, too.

P.S. Thank you for reading! :-)
