I was trying to read this post, but the image is so distracting to me. I had to just scroll past it and never look back. I cannot get past the lady smiling as she ran, as if they're playing Hide and Seek. Who the f**k had the bright idea to make her smile like her family wasn't being tortured, raped, molested, kidnapped, violated and forced to work? I have never in my entire life wanted to visit a plantation. I think I did visit one during a history trip from Detroit to Canada. My memory is foggy. I remember our entire excursion was "following the moss" so I assume we got to a plantation. Still though, I don't remember seeing any smiling slaves. That would make me go back to the bus/car or wait outside.
