I wanted to read this out of curiosity, but I’m at Walk 418 and the 75th dog just left, after I watched him for two days. I cannot agree that this is a “black experience,” not when I’m not even counting the two dogs I owned for 22 years. Hell, those dogs saw black people primarily. But with that said, I did indeed experience an owner who stated in her notes that the walker must only be white and female. I can acknowledge that there are racist pet owners who hide behind their racist (or at least segregated) neighborhoods, but it’s a leap to claim it’s “a black experience.”
