I see what you are saying, but this gets creepy too. Meredith from “Grey’s Anatomy” was on “Red Table Talk” talking about how “magical” black people are and what she loves about them. And even though she married a brotha, it just felt so creepy. Like a Stan fan. I thought Charlotte from “Sex and the City” had a much more genuine approach. She was on “Red Table Talk” and talking about adopting black children. But her approach was somewhere between astonished by our experiences, then acceptance, then more of a realistic respect. It felt like she went through the seven stages of grief and came out a better person. She didn’t do that weird “magical” thing. I don’t want to be coddled. I just want to be respected. I like her approach to “love” so much better.
