I have mixed opinions about calling middle-class people “bourgeoisie.” According to Merriam Webster, that’s literally what they’re called but that rubs me wrong like “talking/acting white” does. It’s like saying black folks who are not in a lower-income bracket must be stuck-up or trying to be someone else. There is literally no downside to paying bills on time and being able to financially take care of your household. I’m with you on “screw struggling” though. I still don’t understand the applause for rich musicians who are throwing it in your face on music (I don’t really see athletes do it that much, minus Floyd Mayweather) but somehow everyday couples just living their lives is frowned upon. It’s weird. To each his own, I guess.
