…lack woman with dark skin, and the features that are usually hampered by the supremacy of colorism, it was offensive to watch Charlamagne unapologetically maintain his questionable stance. And it was frustrating to watch co-host Angela Yee, a woman of color, disgustingly allow that level of disrespect to be levied without an ounce of push back.
I do not think much of Angela Yee, other than asking nonstop questions about getting head, so I never expected her to weigh in or make sense. But Charlamagne threw me off with the Afro Latina lady from “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” too. He said she imagined racism and colorism, and I damn near hit the floor. He has a weird vibe with black women. He seems to adore love-being-a-stereotype Angela Rye but oddly indifferent or hypersexual to brown-skinned women. He was respectful to Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams but it seems a very particular kind of black women he does not like: brown skinned, heavyset, comfortable in their skin black women. Then again, he also sniffed Jennifer Lopez’s seat when she got up and talked about sniffing farts from Patti LaBelle so he is a jackass straight across the board.
