I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve eaten a bowl of air-pop popcorn and a big mug of coffee for lunch or dinner. I just like popcorn a lot, even though I know all that olive oil and margarine isn’t particularly healthy. And although almond vanilla milk may be more animal friendly than cow milk, hell, it’s still got a lot of sugar in it. Guilty. I gained 20 pounds as a vegetarian. My mother was so confused. She thought I was going to shrivel up like a pole. It took me a solid two years to finally understand that eating potatoes and starches all day long was not healthy. That’s not even going into the fainting spells from lack of B12. I did eventually get a better understanding of it (been a vegetarian for 15 years) but yeah, that “healthy” assumption is wildly inaccurate for many.
