I am so confused right now. I got into an argument with a white neighbor for calling it "the ghetto" before she moved. Folks hung out drinking liquor outside of the Granville and Thorndale el stop, and I (clearly) am not white. I lived in Edgewater for three years from 2004 to 2007, and it was just blocks and blocks of apartments and no parking spaces. I still go to Toastmasters meetings at Edge Theater (pre-COVID 19) and see black folks there all the time. Whole Foods Market is even a little bit of everybody. When was the last time you really hung out there? Either it's totally changed this year or I'm hitting up different spots than you.
