I already know the stats. I knew it had been decades since a cop in Dallas was convicted for an offense such as this. But I am still curious about my original question. How long do you think she should have gotten? What number of years would have been sufficient to you? The prosecution team asked for 28 years. For some, that is not long enough. And if they would have moved it out of Dallas County, I sincerely doubt she would have gotten ANY time. A diverse jury such as this one (five were black, five were Hispanic or Asian, two were white) was in my opinion the reason they looked at the trial And not just the profession.
