Every time I read one of these lectures from fast food workers, it always seems to miss the mark. There is this “I did you a favor by working here” attitude that annoys me about people who complain about customers. No one asked you to apply. No one will care if you quit. I really wish people who work in the restaurant and/or fast-food industry would be as persistent about being polite as they do lecturing customers who are. I knew in the brief time I worked in the food industry and almost three years in retail that I would have to deal with a plethora of customers. I was also a receptionist for a little over a year. I knew those weren’t the jobs for me, but I also knew what I signed up for.
